On today's Spotlight, we
are going to take you to two museums in remote but beautiful
corners of Taiwan. First, we'll go to the Jibei Tidal Weir
museum in Penghu, where we'll learn all about the amazing tidal
weirs of Jibei. Once, the stone weirs were built to catch fish
in the winter, a vital source of food for local residents, now
they stand as reminders of the ingenuities of a bygone age.
We'll also go to the Da-pu museum which celebrates biodiversity,
and fireflies, in Da-pu, one of the greenest places in Taiwan. |
