Born and raised in Taiwan, Iris Hsu witnessed the often contentious relationship between local democratization and China's growing military threats in the region. This experience prompted her to pursue an education and career in international relations and journalism. She graduated from American University with a master's degree in international affairs.
Iris is looking forward to bringing her passion for international security issues to Rti's English service, reporting on news and topics that are essential to her people!
