Eloise was born and raised in the UK and studied Philosophy and English Literature at the University of Southampton. After living in China and travelling across Asia for nearly a decade, she moved to Taitung on Taiwan's east coast, unknowingly changing the direction of her life. What began as curiosity grew into a Master's degree in Austronesian Culture and a deep engagement with Indigenous rights, cultural revitalisation, and storytelling.
Her work is grounded in listening, learning, and making. Through hands-on apprenticeship, she learned traditional Bunun backstrap loom weaving and has documented cultural exchange between Taiwan and Guam, focusing on canoe carving, navigation, and the ways knowledge travels across oceans. Across all of it, Eloise aims to translate research into stories that feel alive and accessible.
Outside the studio, you might find her reading fiction or writing poetry in a café. However, she rarely sits still and also loves pulling espresso behind the bar, hiking mountain trails, or moving through yoga, Tai Chi, running, and dance floors - wherever music happens to be.
Now stepping into radio, Eloise is excited to share stories and sounds that connect cultures, amplify Indigenous voices, and invite listeners to slow down and really listen.
