Recurve women’s team takes gold at Gwangju 2025 Hyundai World Archery Championships

Taiwan’s women’s recurve team defeated Japan in the gold medal match at the World Archery Championships in Gwangju, South Korea this Wednesday. This marks the women’s team’s first gold medal in six years.

Team members Hsu Hsin-tzu (許芯慈), Chiu Yi-ching (邱意晴), and Li Tsai-hsuan (李采璇) are all under 20 years old. The team is led by Chiu, who competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics. They were originally seeded fifth at the competition; after defeating South Korea in the semifinals, they proceeded to the gold medal match against Japan, winning with a score of 6-0.
