Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung (林佳龍) expressed concern over Russian drones recently violating Polish airspace, taking to social media this Thursday to comment.

Lin underlined long-standing and expanding cooperation between Taiwan and Poland based on universal values of freedom, democracy, and human rights. He said this includes areas such as trade and investment, judicial law enforcement, and technology.

At the Warsaw Security Forum this September, Foreign Minister Lin gave the keynote speech upon invitation from a Polish think tank. He met with 20 parliamentarians during the visit, including prominent figures such as Michał Tomasz Kamiński. Lin noted that a total of 112 Polish politicians have joined the Taiwan-Poland Inter-Parliamentary Amity Association, making it the largest group of its kind in the Polish Parliament, and demonstrating Poland’s high regard for Taiwan.

Lin said the democratic camp must unite to safeguard regional peace and stability more than ever as authoritarian states gain ground.
