Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) U.S. Senior Official Casey Mace has arrived in Taiwan for a two-day visit, according to a Monday American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) announcement. During his stay, he will meet with senior officials and industry leaders to exchange views on APEC-related issues, aiming to promote economic cooperation between the United States and Taiwan.

The AIT noted that Mace expressed support for Taiwan's meaningful participation in the international community, with a particular focus on supply chain resilience, AI, and the digital economy.

Mace is a career diplomat within the U.S. State Department's senior foreign affairs system, responsible for leading U.S. participation in APEC-related affairs and overseeing the work of the Office of Economic Policy at the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs. He previously served as charge d'affaires and deputy chief of mission at the Singapore U.S. Embassy from 2022 to 2025.
