With the conflict in the Middle East escalating, the Foreign Ministry recommends that any Taiwanese citizens in need of help contact their nearest representative office. On Thursday, March 5, representative Chang Chih-ping (張治平) and a group of colleagues arrived in Qatar to assist 11 stranded Taiwanese. He stated that they have arranged a land route from Qatar to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which will have flights back to Taiwan, and those overseas in need can register online or call +966-505-223-725.
Chang said that he will be visiting other Taiwanese citizens temporarily stranded in Qatar to assess the current security situation and express the government's concern and support.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that it and its representative offices will continue to take concrete actions to protect overseas Taiwanese, closely monitor the needs of Taiwanese citizens in the Middle East, actively provide relevant information and necessary assistance, and ensure that citizens receive timely and appropriate services when needed with empathy and professionalism.
The ministry again urged Taiwanese citizens in the region to remain vigilant, closely monitor the local security situation, and follow the security guidelines issued by local governments to ensure their personal safety. The representative office in Saudi Arabia will maintain continuous contact with Taiwanese citizens in Saudi Arabia to provide necessary assistance. Those with any needs can contact them at +966-505-223-725.
