Chiayi County is featuring a special French performance troupe from Monday to Saturday, March 9 to 14, featuring acrobats, dancers, and an enormous mechanical pegasus.
A 10-meter-tall mechanical flying horse moves with dancers to the music, lifelike and captivating. The white pegasus's silver-white steel wings slowly unfold, like a mythical beast descending from the heavens, creating a spectacular scene for the excited audience.
Chiayi County Mayor Weng Chang-liang (翁章梁) announced on Sunday that from Monday to Saturday, March 9 to 14, a French mechanical art circus will present its signature flying horse show at the Chiayi Lantern Festival. Three shows will be available every night, each lasting about 30 minutes.
Weng said that the enormous mechanical horse traveled for two months by ship from France to Taiwan. He encouraged the public to come and enjoy the exciting performance and culture of France right here in Chiayi.
Lantern Festival performances around Taiwan are getting more and more elaborate, with increasingly unforgettable mane attractions that make amazing memories for the public.
