Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung (林佳龍) is leading a trade delegation to the Marshall Islands from this Tuesday to Thursday, according to Taiwan’s Foreign Ministry.

The visit is intended to strengthen bilateral ties between Taiwan and the Marshall Islands and expand economic and trade cooperation.

Lin will meet with Marshall Islands President Hilda Heine, Speaker Brenson Wase and Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Kalani Kaneko, the ministry said.

Members of the delegation include officials from Taiwan’s International Trade Administration, the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration and the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund.

The delegation also includes more than 60 representatives from industries including fisheries, shipping, cold-chain logistics, medical equipment, food processing, clean energy and information technology, the ministry said.
