Czech Senate President Miloš Vystrčil is set to visit Taiwan in early June, and ahead of the trip toured CTi Europe, a Taiwanese manufacturer operating near Prague, praising the growing investment presence and calling Czechia a gateway to European markets. 

CTi Europe, a subsidiary of the Taiwanese high-speed network cable manufacturer CTi Wire & Cable, began operations in October 2025 in Klecany, a town located approximately five kilometers from Prague. The company provides services to data centers, construction projects, and industrial automation clients throughout Germany, France, and Northern Europe, while also working to expand into Central and Eastern European markets.

“I am very pleased that Cti Europe was among the first Taiwanese companies to invest here, becoming an important supplier serving all of Europe from the Czech Republic,” Vystrčil told reporters after touring the facility on Monday, May 18. He added that combining Taiwan’s technology and precision manufacturing with Europe’s established industrial strength benefits both sides. 

The visit also highlighted a uniquely Taiwanese workplace tradition, placing bags of “Kuai Kuai,” a popular Taiwanese corn snack, on top of machinery to ensure smooth operation. CTi Europe Vice President Sunny Lin (林柏勳) brought the snacks from Taiwan when the factory launched, with some machines hosting up to four bags. "Taiwanese people believe strongly in Kuai Kuai's power to keep equipment running smoothly," Lin said with a laugh, noting that expired bags must be promptly replaced.
