The Kadokawa World Manga Contest, an international manga competition organized by Japan’s renowned publishing group Kadokawa, saw Taiwanese creators take home three awards.

The winners included Eli Lin (依萊) receiving gold in the Wordless Manga category for “Cells Within the Body” and MurJi receiving bronze in the same category for “Hitojuki.” Artist JASONZ earned an honorable mention for “JOHNNY B. GOOD IS GONNA BE GOOD.”

Culture Minister Li Yuan (李遠) expressed delight upon learning of the Taiwanese creators’ achievements and extended his congratulations to all award winners. He noted that Taiwan’s manga industry has continued to demonstrate strong momentum in recent years, showcasing Taiwan’s diverse culture and creative spirit and earning growing recognition from international markets and readers.

The Kadokawa World Manga Contest aims to discover manga talent from around the world and provide opportunities to enter the Japanese manga market. Gold, silver, and bronze award winners receive cash prizes and guidance from Kadokawa editors in developing their works toward commercial serialization and publication. Award-winning works will also be published on KadoComi, Kadokawa’s manga platform, where they will be showcased to readers worldwide.
