Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (黃仁勳) said that Taiwan occupies a central position in the global AI supply chain, but needs more electrical power to continue capitalizing on AI business opportunities and maintain economic prosperity. That statement came on Friday, June 5, shortly before Huang left Taiwan for South Korea.
Huang said that energy is the foundation of industrial growth and a necessary element of industrial development. He pointed out that this is not a problem unique to Taiwan, but one the whole world is facing. Huang had made similar comments earlier during his visit to Taiwan.
Commenting on the ongoing COMPUTEX expo, Huang said that Taiwan occupies a central position in the global artificial intelligence supply chain. He said that AI is driving a surge in computing demand and is expected to generate trillions of dollars in value in the coming years. Huang said Taiwan is at the heart of this industrial transformation.
