Radio Taiwan International (Rti) will celebrate its 98th anniversary with a multicultural festival on Sunday, August 9, at Taipei Expo Park. The celebration will feature music, food, and cultural performances from Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand. 

The event titled, Rti’s Four-Language Harmony Food, Culture, and Music Festival, will be held at the Yuanshan Flower Field Plaza and Ring Plaza and is open to migrant workers, international students, and the public. 

Participants can register through RtiTalk, Asia's first multilingual information co-creation platform that utilizes generative AI technology to integrate five languages: Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesian, English, and Thai. The platform aims to foster dialogue on daily life in Taiwan, allowing users to vote and share experiences, shifting migrant workers from “information receivers” to “public participants.”

Performers include the traditional Vietnamese dance troupe Hello Vietnam, Indonesian singer-songwriter MUSICTA_NITA, reggae band Guhit Band, and the Thai pop band Mittraphap Band, offering a diverse lineup of music and dance. Rti’s multi-lingual hosts will lead interactive segments including interviews, games, and a lucky draw, while a mobile broadcast unit will deliver live coverage to global audiences. 

Four themed markets will showcase authentic Southeast Asian cuisine. The free event will run from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., with many prizes including round-trip tickets to any Asian destination from China Airlines. Registration is available at https://www.rtitalk.tw/zh/events/VIPT.
