Four choirs composed by Taiwanese children competed against 36 top choirs from 20 countries at the 2026 Budapest International Choral Celebration in Hungary. They won numerous awards and top honors, showing the cultural diversity and music prowess to the world.

Puzangalan Children's Choir from Pingtung, with their pure voices and excellent singing skills, stood out in the fiercely competitive “Grand Prix”. They received the top honor, Laurea Summa Cum Laude, in the "Young Women's Voices", "Folklore", and "Sacred Music", showcasing unparalleled vocal talent.

In the open competition, You Wu Wei Choir from Tainan swept three gold awards in the “Youth Choir of Equal Voices Girls”, “Modern”, and “Folklore” categories. They also received Laurea Summa Cum Laude in the modern category in the Grand Prix. Furthermore, Taipei Fuhsing Elementary School Choir won the Children's Choirs Gold Diploma. Kaohsiung Children's Choir got both a gold award in the Folklore category and a silver award in the Children’s category.

Taipei Representative Office in Hungary stated that the organizers invited Puzangalan Children's Choir and You Wu Wei Choir to perform at the Bartók National Concert Hall in the Palace of Arts in Budapest, giving a joint performance with choirs and symphony orchestras from around the world. In addition, the office also arranged for You Wu Wei Choir to perform a flash performance in the hall of Budapest Railway Station.
