The National Youth Symphony Orchestra (NYSO), founded by National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) Music Director Jun Märkl, will embark on its seventh annual tour this summer. The tour, entitled Dreams．Rhapsody, will kick off this Friday and include performances in Miaoli, Taipei, and Kaohsiung, as well as performances abroad in Fukuoka and Busan. 

In addition to collaborations with internationally renowned pianists Makoto Ozone in Taiwan and Hyung-ki Joo in Japan and Korea, the program will also include the world premiere of Taiwanese composer Lin Ching-Mei’s (林京美) new work, alongside performances of Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Ozone's O'berek, and Mahler's Symphony No. 1.

Märkl said he established a deep friendship with young Japanese musicians last year, and this year he is extending the exchange to South Korea. He expressed his hope that through these events, they can further promote connections among young Asian musicians and ensure that NSYO continues to be an important platform for international musical exchange.
