Taiwan sees 51 days of no new domestic COVID-19 cases

Taiwan did not have any new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. It has seen 51 consecutive days of no new cases.

 

Health Minister Chen Shih-chung said that Taiwan is safe from the new coronavirus, but the rest of the world is still dealing with a serious pandemic. He said as Taiwan gradually opens, it is important that people continue with personal hygiene habits to help prevent them for getting infected.

 

There are 443 cases in Taiwan. Of these cases, 352 were imported, 55 were domestic and 36 were a navy ship cluster infection. Seven of the patients have died while 427 have recovered while the rest are still being treated.
