A delegation of inventors from Taiwan managed to grab six golds at the 71st International Trade Fair for Ideas, Inventions & New Products in Germany. In total, Taiwan’s 20 submissions garnered 17 medals... Six gold, seven silver, four bronze.
However, the delegation says that due to a downturn in the economy and the education ministry’s subsidy cuts for university students traveling to international events, the number of submissions was half of the number last year.
The head of Taiwan’s office in Munich, Hsu Tsong-Ming, was at the event to congratulate the delegation on behalf of the president and vice-president.
