Taiwan is getting ready to hold its first Taiwan Expo in Thailand on August 30. This is a part of the New Southbound Policy, Taiwan’s efforts to strengthen ties with Southeast Asia.

Taiwan’s trade council official Chiu Hui-li said that Thailand is the second biggest economy in Southeast Asia. This expo should see 210 companies, which will make it the biggest expo in the past year.

Chiu said that Taiwan will show off its strongest sectors such as ICT, smart technology, and green technology. It will also present Taiwan’s cultural and medical industries.
