A familiar profile is drawing visitors to Taiwan’s northeast coast — but this Donald Trump look-alike is made of rock.
A coastal formation in New Taipei’s Ruifang District (瑞芳區) has earned the nickname “Trump Rock.”
From certain angles, visitors say its outline resembles the U.S. president’s swept hair and prominent nose.
Some learned about it through family messages or group chats and stopped to take pictures.
One visitor says evening backlighting could make the resemblance clearer.
Someone even added the rock to Google Maps, prompting online jokes about whether a five-star review might earn Taiwan a lower tariff.
And the comparisons don’t stop at the coast.
At Lianxing Temple (連興宮) in Nantou County, visitors have spotted another possible double: a painted door god with white hair, white eyebrows and a prominent nose.
Whether either looks like Trump is up to the viewer, but the resemblance is tremendous.
