Presidential candidate for the KMT Hou Yu-ih (侯友宜), with a smile on his face, emphasized his achievements in New Taipei City. He encouraged voters to compare his municipal governance to the opposition presidential candidates&39;s capabilities. The campaign also included a symbolic swearing-in ceremony during the rally in Taichung, where Hou vowed to uphold justice, and combat and end corruption.
In a parallel event, Jaw Shaw-kong (趙少康) visited a food bank in Xinzhuang, run by the Andrew Charity Association, seeking not only to understand their needs but also to garner support from military personnel since the CEO of the food bank, David Lo (羅紹和), was also a former spokesperson for the Defense Ministry.
Jaw reminded voters to be discerning in their choices. Although he praised Ko Wen-je’s (柯文哲) strengths, he asserted that Ko may not be fit for a leadership role but he could contribute within a joint government structure. The KMT's strategic approach involves presenting a united front against the DPP, urging voters to scrutinize mayoral performances and make informed choices in the upcoming elections.
