Draft for harsher penalties for drug-impaired driving to be reviewed by Legislature

Taiwan’s Cabinet on Thursday approved draft amendments to the Criminal Code that would significantly increase penalties for drug-impaired driving, including life imprisonment for repeat offenders who cause death. The proposal will be sent to the Legislature for review.
