Vice president returns from democracy conference in Italy

Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim (蕭美琴) returned to Taiwan on Monday, September 14, after attending the Second European Conference of Ventotene for Freedom and Democracy in Italy. She said in her remarks at the airport that she was invited to attend the event by European Parliament Vice President Pina Picierno and Carlo Corazza, the head of the European Parliament Liaison Office in Italy.
