Heather Beardsley is one of several artists who found inspiration in Kaohsiung's history of seafreight and industry. Like others in the Pier2 area, she reappropriates industrial materials to raise interesting questions about the challenges and appeal of sea trade and its impact on our lives, using cyanography and embroidery made with recycled materials.
