According to the Committee for Freedom in Hong Kong Foundation (CFHK), an organization founded in 2022 to advocate for Hong Kong and its people following China’s national security crackdown, more than 1,900 people have been imprisoned on political charges in Hong Kong since 2019 — many without trial.
